I work for over half a dozen charities, out of them the most outstanding in terms of alleviating poverty is PEF, who believes in empowerment through professional education. Professional education is the most under represented investment in most developing countries and it is the most powerful tools in the economic game changers for a community. I pray that PEF can sustain and build upon this great innovative initiative with the help of the commitment of the donors.

Mr. Javed Iqbal has a diversified experience of over 30 years of working with multinational and large local banks. Mr. Iqbal worked on various senior positions in and outside Pakistan in the financial sector and main stay of his professional banking career was with Deutsche Bank. Currently, he is engaged in freelance consultancy business advising businesses and financial sector.

Farhat Ali is currently the chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Managing Director of Polygal AG Pakistan, a fully-owned subsidiary of Polygal AG Switzerland. He served as the founding president of Swiss Business Council and is currently serving as the director and the chairperson dealing with Swiss Global Enterprise Zurich and Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce Zurich. He is serving on the Board of Professional Education Foundation Lahore Chapter. He served as the President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the President of ABB PAKISTAN. He contribute a weekly column in the daily Business Recorder as its lead columnist.
